Ashley Kelly, also known as The Edumom is an educator and mother from Los Angeles, California but is currently residing in Houston, Texas. After years of functioning under a "super mentality" of being the Super Educator and Super Mom, she realized she was burned out. Covid came around and she had to sit and do some serious self-reflecting on how she wanted to live life and show up as an educator and mother. She developed a LIT Mindset which stands for loyalty, intentionality, and time and slowly began to craft the life she wanted for herself and her family.
Through therapy, lifestyle changes, and a change in mindset, she was able to go from burned out to balanced and actively healing. She went from it being all about everyone else to being loyal to herself and now she supports other educators and women on their journeys as well!
Ashley holds a bachelors degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology from the University of Houston-Downtown as well as a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from Houston Baptist University. She has been in education for 8 years and mentors educators, women, and children throughout the year in various areas such as literacy, mindset adjustments, time management, and scheduling and organizing.
Lit Life Planning and Consulting LLC supports educators and mothers in pursuit of developing a balanced and well lifestyle through the adaptation of a LIT Mindset. Our belief is that Loyalty to ourselves, intentionality with our work and effectively managing our time will lead to a balance between our personal lives and our careers allowing us to live more and work less.
