Jotina Buck

MAC, LCDC-I, LPC-A

As a queer black woman in mental health and wellness, it’s my life’s mission to provide safe, soft, and surrendered therapeutic space for folx who live on the margins of society to heal deep trauma. I have committed to over 15 years of studying human behavior, positive psychology, and the implications race-based trauma. After experiencing deep healing through personal journey with grief it is my desire to support my clients and communities I serve with PTSD, anxiety, race-based trauma, and somatic healing experiences. I am a LPC-A (supervised by Dr. Cheryl Ivory), 200 hr certified yoga teacher, meditation guide, sound healer, and master wellness speaker.

I am the founder and owner of Root + Yoke Wellness LLC mental health and wellness practice. We believe that justice in the world starts with justice in the body. I am currently interested in studying alternative therapies more deeply to integrate into my practice to support people of color and queer people with healing deep trauma. I desire to support people with safely accessing alternative healing modalities to heal themselves from the inside out.

My mission is to alleviate access barriers to alternative medicine for underserved communities and safely share alternatives to healing with sound knowledge, deepened understanding, ethical administration, and trauma-informed therapeutic guidance.
