As a Licensed Professional Counselor dually licensed in Texas and in Georgia, she has a passion for closing the resource gap seen in underrepresented populations. Spero Psychological Services’ mission is to continue providing services to marginalized populations to lessen the resource gap. Being Colombian- American myself, I grew up thinking talking about mental health difficulties was taboo due to my cultural upbringing. From that, my passion emerged for continuing my fight to eradicate mental health stigma in underrepresented populations. Lack of resources should never get in the way of quality care. Spero Psychological Services is a movement founded on hope, which is also our namesake. Those with mental health obstacles often describe their current difficulties as feelings of hopelessness.
