An accomplished entrepreneur, author, blogger, podcaster and speaker, Shani Godwin also known as Chief Joy Officer has 20 years of experience leading her high-growth marketing and communications firm, Communiqué USA. She is also an expert at helping major Fortune 500 brands and small business owners take the guesswork out of their, telling their story and growing their businesses the right way. 

Passionate about healing the world by creating more joy at work,  Communiqué USA team provides marketing communications support to stressed out, overworked marketing departments around the country including Chick-fil-A, Inc., Cox Enterprises,Georgia Power and The Federal Reserve and more. 

Under Shani’s leadership, Communiqué also created Joy EconomicsSM, a corporate platform for helping its key staff and clients find better ways to live, work and play by using joy as its currency. This approach helped Communiqué double revenue just 3 short years after the pandemic and includes company policies and programs that champion mental health policies and practices in the workplace allowing her staff and clients to enjoy their lives while they grow the bottom lines.

A graduate of Goldman Sach’s 10,000 Small Businesses Program, Leadership Atlanta Class of 2016 and Dartmouth University’s Tuck School of Business’s High Performing Minority Business Program, Shani has been featured in media nationwide including Essence Magazine, Forbes.com and The Huffington Post.  Shani is a graduate of Hampton University with a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Media Arts/Advertising and Mercer University where she earned a Master of Business Administration in Marketing.  When she’s not changing the world, Shani enjoys traveling abroad, reading, writing and spending time with her family, friends and fur baby little Miss Zuri Skye.
