Vicious Dumpling is a multidimensional entity based out of Los Angeles. Founded by Ariel Thompson in 2015 as she coped with the state of her mental health. Vicious Dumpling has become a playground to allow her creative processes flow through multiple outlets. Whether it be illustrations, mixed media, or graphic design, Vicious Dumpling prides itself on captivating an audience through the means of authenticity.
On Mental Health + Art:
In 2014 I was diagnosed with depression, but did not want to medicate myself as a means of coping. I instead dove further into being active as well as nourishing creative outlets that I found therapeutic. My art was one of those outlets that stemmed from my diagnosis. It gave me a means to focus and redirect my energy. It grounded me and aided greatly in bettering my mental health.
